MUJIやテーブルウェアのCommon、最近ではSINDELのコスメ・ブランドのなどのデザインでも知られる、世界を股にかけて活躍中の気鋭のプロダクトデザイナー、Yota Kakudaによるアルミニウム 12" レコード用スタビライザー。

DJ&レコード・コレクターとしても名を馳せているYota Kakuda氏による、シンプルかつソリッド、そして細部までこだわり抜いたデザイン。制作は富山県の老舗鋳物メーカー、高田製作所による一点一点手作りのスタビライザー。

〈Profile〉

角田陽太・かくだようた

デザイナー／クリエイティブディレクター。仙台生まれ。2003年渡英し安積伸＆朋子やロス・ラブグローブの事務所で経験を積む。2007年ロイヤル・カレッジ・オブ・アート（RCA）デザインプロダクツ学科をロン・アラッドやサー・ケネス・グランジのもと、文化庁・新進芸術家海外留学制度の奨学生として修了。2008年に帰国後、無印良品のプロダクトデザイナーを経て、2011年角田陽太デザイン事務所を設立。国内外でデザインを発表している。2016年にはHUBLOT DESIGN PRIZEに日本人として初めてファイナリストに選出される。受賞歴にELLE DECORヤングジャパニーズデザインタレント、グッドデザイン賞、ドイツ・iFデザインアワードなど。武蔵野美術大学非常勤講師。

Yota Kakuda

Designer / Creative Director. Born in Japan, Yota Kakuda moved to London in 2003, where he gained experience in design studios such as Shin and Tomoko Azumi and Ross Lovegrove. He earned his MA at the Royal College of Art, Design Products under Ron Arad and Sir Kenneth Grange on scholarship from the Japanese government. He returned to Tokyo in 2008 and joined MUJI as a product designer. In 2011 he established YOTA KAKUDA DESIGN in Tokyo, where he works in a variety of design fields, for both international and domestic clients. He obtained major design awards including the iF DESIGN AWARD and GOOD DESIGN AWARD, and was selected as one of the finalists for the HUBLOT DESIGN PRIZE 2016, becoming the first ever nominee from Asia. Lecturer at Musashino Art University.
Yota believes his works exist to make people slightly happier.
